I started PINERIDGE CABIN in 2021, like many of us, when covid forced me out of the corporate workplace and into a more sustainable way of life

Maybe it might've started when we began making our own sourdough starters and giving sourdough to our neighbours, friends and family but now we are determined to spread our love and knowledge of sustainable living and growing wildlife-friendly habitat gardens to others

We believe that plants have a central role in our modern lifestyle, wellbeing, transforming urban spaces into a beautiful, healthy and sustainable environments

We are passionate about helping others find the peace and way to switch off from our-fast-pased lifestyle through the magic of tending a garden - studies have shown gardening can reduce stress, improve mood, increase energy levels and promote restful sleep

With backgrounds in ecology, botany, permaculture and ecological landscape design with a focus on PNW natives and perennial and annual food crops, our aim is to create beautiful but productive gardens

we know gardens support the health of families, neighbourhoods and communities - that living in harmony with the seasons and nurturing micro-ecosystems found in our backyards connects us to something bigger than ourselves

I studied Ecology & Botany, and was trained as an Organic Master Gardener, an Organic Horticultural Specialist and an Ecological Landscape Designer, have my Organic Land Care certification and an official David Suzuki's Foundation Butterfly Ranger - we at PINERIDGE CABIN have the knowledge you need to make your garden dreams come true

I attune to the ecological impact of each plant, favouring native, climate-appropriate plants that require less water, choosing locally sourced materials and creating each garden template as a unique ecosystem with each microclimate
